TIL: If your Grafana limits the datapoints by increasing the interval (step value) with prometheus (this happens automatically based on your screen resolution) the data in between will be ignored. There is no calculation of an average over all values or something similar. It isn't a problem for all metrics but for example for fast changing graphs or long time ranges it's a mater of good luck what you get.
